The Silky Bros aka Cover Band November 2nd, 2008

The Silky Bros played the Halloween Party with a mean set of covers. This was my favorite show I’ve been to all year. I guess it is my only one too but anyway. I believe Dusty was the mastermind behind this whole deal and I gotta say it was awesome. I haven’t jammed that hard for a few years. I wish I would have taken more pictures because I didn’t really get any of Christine on keyboards or Jessica rockin’ the mic but I was too busy getting down.

Halloween Party November 2nd, 2008

The Strong Man made ’til 8:00.

There was a lumber jack and this vato named Angel.

Frank scared the crap out of us.

This caveman rolled up on a motorcycle and then the food showed up.

Brent pulled off one of my dream costumes.

Father and son.

Palin took time away from the campaign trail to say hey.

The Strong Man got all agro and said I was taking to many pictures of him and his lady.

RoboTy was back again with some technological breakthroughs.

Mr. Clean didn’t want any messin’ around.

This scary dude was scary.

Burrito won “Most Original”.

Jeremy the Lumberjack giving Palin award for “Best Overall Costume”.

Trophy for best costume.

Governor of Alaska looking uncomfortable holding dead thing. That’s weird.

Miles Man At 6 Months October 1st, 2008

So, the blog silence is over. I am past being so busy for so long that I don’t know any different and I am now trying to just unwind a little. I’ve been meaning to do a post for a week now. I still have Dudes Trip pictures to put up, pictures I took of the Johnstons in July, pictures of our house, but its Miles hitting the big 6 month mark on Saturday that is going to break my blog dry spell.

These are a bunch of pictures Maeve has taken over the past few weeks because I’ve been too blah, blah, blah. Anyway the little dude is growing and changing so much. And I love him so much. So much that I look forward to getting up early with him to watch The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. It seems to be his favorite show. He laughs and squeals and yells and sings. He started eating real (kind of) food last week and I’ve been teaching him how to sit up and hes pretty much got it, unless there is something he wants to the far left or right of him then he topples over (I don’t think he realizes when he falls though).

He had his 6 month appointment on Monday and here is what we learned.
Weight: 17 pounds 2 ounces (41%)
Height: 26 inches (32%)
Head Circumference: 17 inches (23%)

So basically, he’s kind of short but chubby with a pretty small head. He’s awesome.
