This is Ali. We’ve been friends for a long time. She is one of my best friends. She is married to my other best friend Curtis. They are moving across the country in a few weeks. They will be missed severely.

Big Bathroom Update March 5th, 2008

We’ve gotten a lot done since the last post and we are getting so close I can taste it. As you can see by the above pictures the full bath is sheetrocked and I started tiling last night. You can also see that eating nothing but fastfood for the last month has taken a toll on my bod.

I plan on finishing the tile tonight and taking a tub by Saturday.

No More Open Holes In Our Bathroom Floor February 28th, 2008

This news is over a week old but I want to document our remodel and this was a big step. All of the plumbling in the bathroom is done and the holes in the floor are no longer. Maeve was quite pleased by this. Now that the hard part is over, I’d say that remodeling on a slab foundation is not for the faint of heart.

In other news the bedrooms are just about all painted (pictures of those soon) and we got a new electrical panel the other night and we are getting a new furnace and central air tomorrow.

Its coming along.

Its Coming Along (Bathroom Update 1) February 14th, 2008

We are a week and a half onto our remodel and a lot has already changed. After several late nights, scary rented tools, and a lot of dust the bathroom is completely torn out (including the floor) and is on its way to being two bathrooms. We (Ian and Rich) have most of the plumbing done and we are just about ready to start covering everything back up.

Thanks to Ian, Rich, and Shirls for all the help so far and to Maeve for being such a trooper in her final trimester of pregnancy.
